What to eat in Marrakech?
Moroccan gastronomy is very varied and colorful. Typical world famous dishes are couscous and tagines.

Couscous is made from semolina grains of wheat, mutton and / or chicken, as well as vegetables or eggs. Moroccans consider couscous to be the main dish on Fridays.

Tagines are named after the container in which food is prepared and served. This is a meat or fish stew with fruit or vegetables.

In Marrakech you can also taste other typical dishes such as salads, seasonal fruits, merguez sausages and sausages.

Pastries and tea
Tea is a drink that accompanies Moroccans on a daily basis. You can taste this traditional drink everywhere in Marrakech, you will even be invited to have tea in some shops and public places. The specialty is mint tea. If you like tea, you will certainly enjoy this moment of sharing.

Dinner at stalls in Jemaa el Fna
Many locals and tourists curious about Moroccan culture opt to dine at stalls located in Jemaa el-Fna Square at night.

The dishes sold there are typical of Marrakech; the food is fairly good quality and the prices are low, without being much cheaper than the prices displayed at nearby restaurants. If you want to soak up the ambience of the city, you can't leave Marrakech without having dined at one of the stalls one evening during your stay.
